Uma análise das tendinopatias: tendinopatia de Aquiles e tendinopatia patelar

Resumo

Objetivo: Analisar as características da tendinopatia de Aquiles (TA) e da tendinopatia patelar (TP). Revisão bibliográfica: A tendinopatia representa degeneração ou falha na cicatrização devido à sobrecarga contínua sem recuperação adequada do tendão acometido. Afeta indivíduos sedentários e ativos, sendo responsável por 30% a 50% de todas as lesões esportivas. Ambos os membros superiores e inferiores são acometidos, sendo comumente acometidos os tendões do manguito rotador, lateral do cotovelo, glúteo, patelar e tendão de Aquiles. A TA é uma lesão dolorosa por uso excessivo do tendão de Aquiles, enquanto a TP é uma lesão crônica comum do tendão caracterizada por dor relacionada à carga no tendão patelar. Considerações finais: A TP e a TA se apresentam como dor e edema dentro e ao redor do tendão, principalmente em decorrência do uso excessivo no caso de atletas ou em pacientes com sobrepeso por sobrecarga. O manejo dessas condições é feito, primariamente, de forma conservadora com o uso de exercícios excêntricos, anti inflamatórios, injeções no tendão e terapia extracorpórea por ondas de choque além de ultrassom terapêutico e laserterapia. Na falha dessas terapêuticas por 3 a 6 meses considera-se os procedimentos cirúrgicos.
