El impacto de la actuación de la enfermera en el cuidado del paciente contagiado por Covid-19

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the impact of nurses' performance in hospital intensive care, in relation to the care provided to patients infected by Covid-19, based on scientific evidence. Methods: This is an integrative literature review, through original scientific publications, indexed in the MEDLINE, LILACS and BDENF databases, via the Virtual Library, published between the years 2021 to 2023. key: Role of the nurse, Covid-19, Nursing care, associated with the Boolean operator. Among the selected articles, 20 publications met the eligibility criteria and were designated to integrate the study. Results: The studies showed a great impact on the development of nursing processes in health services, based on the actions of these professionals in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, in view of the great challenges faced, mainly because it is a collective disease and newly acquired. Final considerations: Thus, the nursing category contributed significantly to the process of creating a care flow to meet the needs of patients, proving to be competent in fulfilling their social role in providing effective and safe care.
