Efeitos de diferentes intervenções dietéticas na artrite reumatoide

Resumo

Objetivo: Realizar uma revisão da literatura a fim de entender os efeitos das intervenções dietéticas na artrite reumatoide. Métodos: Revisão da literatura dos últimos 10 anos, de acordo com as recomendações PRISMA (Preference Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis) por meio de busca eletrônica nas bases de dados PubMed, Lilacs e SciELO, através dos descritores em saúde rheumatoid arthritis AND diet e artrita reumatoide AND dieta, sendo selecionados por ensaios clínicos com adultos e/ou idosos. Resultados: Os estudos demostraram que pacientes com artrite reumatoide que consumiram dieta mediterrânea ou dieta com alimentos fontes de nutrientes com propriedades anti-inflamatórias e/ou antioxidantes, assim como suplementos alimentares, apresentaram melhora nos índices de atividade da doença como DAS-28 (Disease Activity Score), nos marcadores inflamatórios como PCR (proteína C reativa), VHS (velocidade de homossedimentação) e anti-CCP (peptídeo citrulinado anticíclico), e na qualidade de vida. Considerações finais: Intervenções dietéticas e suplementação nutricional podem contribuir para a melhoria do quadro clínico e a qualidade de vida de pacientes com AR. Contudo, estudos adicionais tornam-se necessários.
