Resumo

Objetivo: Analisar as características da Prevalência de Comorbidades Psiquiátricas no TEA e Principais Desafios do Diagnóstico Diferencial. Revisão bibliográfica: A coexistência de comorbidades psiquiátricas em pacientes com Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA) é uma área de considerável pesquisa e preocupação clínica, apresentando taxas de prevalência significativamente elevadas. Essas taxas variam de acordo com a população analisada e o método de diagnóstico empregado, reforçando a complexidade inerente ao tema. O diagnóstico diferencial torna-se, portanto, uma etapa crucial para a implementação de um tratamento eficaz e individualizado. Vários estudos têm abordado a frequência de comorbidades como Transtorno de Déficit de Atenção e Hiperatividade (TDAH), Transtorno de Ansiedade e até Transtornos do Humor em pacientes com TEA, evidenciando a necessidade de um olhar multidisciplinar para o manejo clínico desses indivíduos. Considerações finais: Em resumo, a elevada incidência de comorbidades psiquiátricas em pacientes com TEA exige um diagnóstico diferencial cuidadoso e um tratamento mais holístico, que considere a interação entre TEA e outras condições psiquiátricas concomitantes.
