Uma análise abrangente sobre aplicação de laserterapia em odontopediatria

Resumo

Objetivo: Analisar as evidências atuais relacionadas ao uso de laserterapia em odontopediatria, através de uma revisão integrativa. Métodos: Foi realizada uma busca com termos relacionados à temática, na base de dados do PubMed, em fevereiro de 2024. Foram selecionados artigos publicados nos últimos cinco anos, que tivessem disponibilidade do texto completo e que abordassem a temática. Para a inclusão dos artigos, foi realizada a leitura dos títulos, resumos e texto completo. Foram coletados os seguintes dados: autores e data de publicação, desenho de estudo, objetivo principal e conclusão. Resultados: A busca inicial resultou em 179 artigos, sendo destes 77 publicados nos último 5 anos, e 75 artigos com texto completo disponível. Após a análise individual de cada artigo, foram incluídos 10 estudos nesta revisão. A maior parte dos estudos abordou a metodologia de ensaio clínico randomizado. Laserterapia foi utilizada para procedimentos que envolvessem anestesia dental, polpotomia, diminuição de bactérias do biofilme dental, aceleração da movimentação ortodôntica e como coadjuvante na redução de hipersensibilidade dentinária em dentes afetados por HMI. Considerações finais: Laserterapia mostrou resultados positivos na odontopediatria, promovendo tratamentos mais confortáveis e com menos ansiedade em crianças.
