Avaliação de equilíbrio e força de membros inferiores em jogadores de futebol com paralisia cerebral

Resumo

Objetivo: Este estudo visou avaliar o equilíbrio e a força dos membros inferiores de atletas praticantes de futebol que tem paralisia cerebral (PC) e, além disso, visa distinguir o desempenho físico entre diferentes graus de comprometimento. Métodos: Foram coletados dados de 13 atletas do sexo masculino, com idades entre 18 e 27 anos, divididos em grupos de acordo com o grau de comprometimento: Comprometimento Leve (FT3), Moderado (FT2) e Severo (FT1). Os grupos foram submetidos a testes físicos de salto horizontal, salto vertical e à Escala de Equilíbrio de Berg. Resultados: Os atletas FT3 apresentaram desempenho superior nos testes de salto vertical (média de 47,0 cm) e salto horizontal (média de 190 cm), em comparação aos atletas FT2 e FT1. Não houve diferenças significativas na Escala de Equilíbrio de Berg entre as categorias funcionais. Esses achados sugerem que a força explosiva dos membros inferiores é maior em atletas com menor grau de comprometimento motor. Conclusão: Esse estudo demonstra que os testes de salto são ferramentas eficazes para avaliar a força dos membros inferiores em atletas de futebol PC, destacando diferenças significativas entre as categorias funcionais. Estudos futuros devem incluir amostras maiores e outras variáveis que impactem o desempenho funcional.
