Frenectomia labial inferior utilizando laser de alta potência de diodo: série de casos

Resumo

Objetivo: O objetivo deste trabalho é relatar uma série de três casos de frenectomia labial inferior utilizando o laser de diodo. Detalhamento de caso: Três pacientes sem alterações sistêmicas compareceram a uma faculdade com a indicação de frenectomia labial inferior devido a presença de freio labial inferior anômalo causando recessões gengivais (RG) e hipersensibilidade dentinária nos dentes 31 e 41. No exame clínico, pacientes apresentaram RG RT-I de Cairo e como tratamento foi proposto frenectomia labial com laser cirúrgico de diodo, foi realizado o mesmo protocolo cirúrgico nos três casos, sendo anestesia local inferior bilateral e a frenectomia foi feita com laser de alta potência de diodo 980nm, na potência de 2W, com dose de 4J/cm2, energia em 6J, modo pulsado e fibra de ponta cilíndrica por 15 minutos até remoção total do freio labial inferior, em seguida o laser foi novamente utilizado para causar hemostasia cirúrgica, não havendo necessidade de sutura. No pós-operatório foram prescritos analgésico de ação periférica e laser vermelho, 2 joules por ponto e 20 segundos nas áreas cirúrgicas para reparação tecidual. Conclusão: Os pacientes tiveram seu frênulo labial inferior totalmente removido e nos casos 1 e 2 os resultados pós-operatórios foram sem dor ou desconforto.
