Resumo

Objetivo: Analisar os principais artigos disponíveis sobre o impacto que a suplementação de micronutrientes e alterações dietéticas tem nos pacientes com migrânea. Revisão bibliográfica: A migrânea é uma doença neurológica crônica cuja fisiopatologia ainda não está totalmente esclarecida, embora saiba-se da presença de citocinas inflamatórias e dos desequilíbrios iônicos. Como um tratamento alternativo ou complementar ao tradicional, a suplementação de magnésio, isoflavonas de soja, nano-curcumina, ômega 3 isolado ou em associação com a nano-curcumina, zinco, ácido lipóico e vitamina D foram benéficos aos pacientes com enxaqueca. Além disso, mudanças dietéticas que aumentem o consumo de ácidos graxos n-3 e diminuam os n-6 e a dieta cetogênica também tiveram resultados favoráveis na frequência e duração das crises de migrânea. Considerações finais: A enxaqueca é uma doença neurológica amplamente disseminada em nível global, com uma fisiopatologia e um tratamento complexos. Vários fatores podem influenciar a sua manifestação, e intervenções como a suplementação de micronutrientes e mudanças na dieta podem ser eficazes para melhorar a perspectiva e a qualidade de vida dos pacientes, sem causar efeitos colaterais. Portanto, é essencial que os profissionais da saúde avaliem individualmente cada paciente com enxaqueca, a fim de proporcionar um tratamento eficaz e um prognóstico favorável.
