Autismo, distúrbios do sono e o fenótipo insone: uma análise cienciométrica e integrativa

Resumo

Objetivo: Mapear o panorama do conhecimento sobre o autismo associado a distúrbios do sono e sintetizar o avanço na pesquisa sobre o fenótipo insone. Métodos: Trata-se de revisão cienciométrica e integrativa da literatura na base de dados web of science. Para a revisão integrativa, utilizou-se a seguinte questão norteadora: Quais os avanços científicos no fenótipo do transtorno do espectro autista (TEA) associado a insônia? Os textos selecionados eram em inglês ou português, publicados entre 2019 e 2024. Resultados: 69 artigos foram incluídos em análise cienciométrica, sendo 69,6% pesquisas originais. 62,3% focaram nos sinais e sintomas, diagnóstico e tratamento. 16 artigos atenderam aos critérios de inclusão e exclusão para revisão integrativa. Houveram avanços na investigação dos genes do ritmo circadiano e do metabolismo do ferro, hiperreatividade sensorial e hiperexcitação fisiológica. Encontrou-se uma correlação positiva com o estresse parental. Notou-se uma escassez de inquéritos epidemiológicos. Quanto ao tratamento, a terapia cognitivo-comportamental para insônia se mostra promissora. Por outro lado, a melatonina tem indicações limitadas e a suplementação de ferro não foi recomendada. Considerações finais: Apesar dos avanços recentes e crescente produção científica, os resultados indicam a necessidade de mais investigações, estudos epidemiológicos e abordagens terapêuticas para melhorar a qualidade do sono desses indivíduos.
