Resumo

Objetivo: Identificar os fatores facilitadores e dificultadores do autocuidado e qualidade de vida, na transição para o envelhecimento. Métodos: Revisão integrativa. Formulou-se a questão norteadora: “Quais são os elementos do processo de transição que influenciam no autocuidado e na qualidade de vida nas pessoas idosas. Utilizadas as bases de dados National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health (PubMed), Web of Science (WOS),Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS),Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL) e American Psychological Association (APA PsycInfo), Biomedical Answer (EMBASE), Scopus (ELSEVIER).Utilizados descritores controlados específicos para cada base de dados: Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) para PubMed, WOS e Scopus;Descritores em Ciências da Saúde (DeCS) para LILACS; CINAHL Subject Headings para CINAHL; APA Thesaurus para APA PsycInfo; e Emtree para EMBASE. Resultados: A amostra final foi composta por 22 estudos, emergindo duas categorias: Fatores facilitadores para o autocuidado e melhor qualidade de vida e Fatores inibidores do autocuidado e da qualidade de vida. Considerações finais: A transição para o envelhecimento afeta o autocuidado e a qualidade de vida da pessoa idosa, pois algumas capacidades podem sofrer alterações, ao passo que oportuniza reavaliar suas prioridades e buscar formas de promover seu bem-estar e qualidade de vida.
