O papel regulador metabólico da alimentação com restrição de tempo em adultos com sobrepeso e obesidade

Resumo

Objetivo: Avaliar o papel regulador da alimentação com restrição de tempo sobre o metabolismo em adultos com sobrepeso e obesidade, explorando os mecanismos subjacentes e os impactos clínicos nos parâmetros de saúde metabólica. Métodos: Revisão bibliográfica integrativa, que utilizou a base de dados eletrônica PubMed Central (PMC). Os termos de pesquisa incluíram “Time-Restricted Eating”, “TRE”, “Obesity”, “Metabolic Health”, e suas combinações. Um total de 14 artigos foram selecionados para análise detalhada. Resultados:  A ART pode contribuir para a melhoria da homeostase glicêmica, aumento da sensibilidade à insulina e redução de marcadores inflamatórios. Além disso, a combinação da ART com exercícios físicos potencializa ainda mais os resultados na saúde metabólica. Apesar dos resultados promissores, algumas pesquisas indicam que a ART, isoladamente, pode não ser mais eficaz do que uma dieta regular na perda de peso. Considerações finais: A alimentação com restrição de tempo surge como uma estratégia promissora, demonstrando benefícios na regulação metabólica e na promoção da saúde em indivíduos com sobrepeso e obesidade. No entanto, é crucial reconhecer a complexidade do tema e a necessidade de mais pesquisas para explorar a eficácia da ART em diferentes populações e contextos.
