Efeitos do laser terapêutico de baixa potência (LLLT) e alta potência (HILT) para melhora da dor e da função de pacientes com osteoartrite de joelho

Resumo

Objetivo: Identificar a eficácia do laser de alta potência (HILT) e laser de baixa potência (LLLT) no alívio da dor e na melhora da função de indivíduos com osteoartrite (OA)de joelho a partir dos estudos clínicos mais recentes sobre a temática. Métodos: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa descritiva com abordagem qualitativa utilizando os bancos de dados do PubMed, SciELO e PEDro. Resultados: As buscas nas bases citadas retornaram um total de 54 artigos; um artigo encontrado se tratava de uma revisão sistemática, e o mesmo foi detalhado a 07 estudos, totalizando 61 estudos. Foi realizada uma exclusão criteriosa, e foram incluídos nesta revisão 10 ensaios clínicos, sendo 6 ensaios sobre LLLT e 4 sobre HILT. Considerações finais: Esta revisão destaca a eficácia do LLLT infravermelho e do HILT no tratamento da osteoartrite de joelho. Ambos os métodos mostram benefícios na dor e função, que são ampliados quando combinados com terapias complementares, como o exercício físico.
