Aspectos relativos à saúde bucal da população LGBTQIA+

Resumo

Objetivo: Revisar os principais artigos disponíveis e analisar sobre as peculiaridades de saúde bucal da população LGBTQIA+. Revisão bibliográfica: A população LGBTQIA+ apresenta iniquidades em relação ao acesso aos serviços de saúde, portanto, o Ministério da Saúde instituiu, em 2011, a Política Nacional de Saúde Integral de Lésbicas, Gays, Bissexuais, Travestis e Transsexuais (PNSI-LGBT), a qual, contudo, não cita diretamente as peculiaridades odontológicas desse público. A literatura não identifica disparidades de hábitos de higiene bucal desses indivíduos em relação às pessoas heterossexuais e cisgêneras, no entanto, indica maiores razões de prevalência de hábitos deletérios à saúde bucal, de algumas patologias bucais e piores resultados em parâmetros subjetivos de saúde bucal nos indivíduos de minorias sexuais e de gênero, em comparação às pessoas heterossexuais e cisgêneras. Considerações finais: Torna-se evidente a necessidade de se considerar as iniquidades de saúde bucal da população LGBTQIA+, objetivando garantir a plena implementação da PNSI-LGBT, a fim de proporcionar um acesso integral e equitativo dessa população aos serviços odontológicos.
