Uso de extratos fitoterápicos na cicatrização de úlceras diabéticas em humanos

Resumo

Objetivo: Analisar o uso de extratos fitoterápicos na cicatrização de úlceras de pé diabético. Métodos: Foi realizada uma revisão integrativa da literatura, realizada entre novembro de 2024 e janeiro de 2025. Foram incluídos na pesquisa ensaios clínicos e estudos quase experimentais, realizados em humanos, publicados entre os anos de 2019-2024, em revistas indexadas nas bases de dados Pubmed, WebOfScience e Scopus, nos idiomas inglês e português. A fase de seleção dos estudos foi realizada no aplicativo Rayyan (Rayyan Enterprises, EUA). Resultados: 348 artigos foram encontrados nas bases de dados. Porém, após a fase de seleção, leitura e elegibilidade realizada pelos autores dessa pesquisa, 5 artigos foram selecionados ao longo desta revisão. Em geral, os artigos encontraram que os pacientes submetidos aos extratos fitoterápicos evoluíram com redução da área total da ferida, alcançando significância estatística nas avaliações do pré e pós intervenção terapêutica, ainda que comparado com medidas já estabelecidas no cuidado assistencial. Considerações finais: Nos estudos observados, o uso de extratos fitoterápicos favoreceu a cicatrização das úlceras de pé diabético. No entanto, sugere-se mais estudos com o objetivo de compreeender os efeitos individuais de cada planta, seus respectivos princípios ativos, suas doses e efeitos colaterais.
