O extrato de Euterpe oleracea Mart. (açaí) reduz o estresse oxidativo em ratos submetidos ao modelo de isquemia e reperfusão hepática

Resumo

Objetivo: Investigar o efeito da suplementação nutricional com açaí no modelo experimental de IR hepática em ratos. Métodos: 15 ratos machos foram divididos em três grupos: Sham: não tratados, sem indução de IR; IR: não tratados, submetidos à IR hepática; AÇAÍ+IR: tratados com extrato de açaí 500 mg/kg e submetidos à IR. Foram 15 dias de tratamento. No 16º dia, os animais passaram por 30 minutos de isquemia e 24 horas de reperfusão. No 17º dia, os fígados foram coletados para analisar os níveis de substâncias reativas ao ácido tiobarbitúrico (TBARS), glutationa (GSH), ácido úrico (AU) e capacidade antioxidante equivalente ao trolox pela inibição dos radicais ABTS•+ (CA-ABTS) e DPPH• (CA-DPPH). Resultados: Nossos resultados demonstraram que o tratamento com extrato de açaí diminuiu a concentração de TBARS e GSH em relação ao grupo Sham e IR. O AU aumentou significativamente no grupo IR, mas sem alteração significativa no AÇAÍ+IR. Os níveis de CA-ABTS e CA-DPPH do grupo AÇAÍ+IR aumentaram significativamente em relação aos grupos Sham e IR. Conclusão: O açaí foi capaz de atenuar o estresse oxidativo e aumentar a capacidade antioxidante observada no modelo de IR hepática, destacando seu potencial na prevenção de danos teciduais relacionados à IR hepática.
