O uso do fluoreto de nanopartículas de prata em odontologia na última década

Resumo

Objetivo: Analisar a evidência científica mais recente acerca do uso do Fluoreto de Nanopartículas de Prata (FNP) na Odontologia. Métodos: Foi realizada uma busca na base de dados Pubmed em abril de 2025, utilizando uma estratégia montada com descritores relacionados ao FNP e operadores boleanos. Dois autores independentes selecionaram os artigos após leitura de título e resumo de acordo com os seguintes critérios de inclusão: artigos publicados na íntegra, sem restrição de metodologia, publicados nos últimos 10 anos e que abordassem o FNP em Odontologia. Resultados: A busca inicial resultou em 56 artigos, dos quais 25 foram incluídos. O estudo mais antigo foi publicado em 2017 e o mais recente em 2024. Entre os artigos incluídos, os desenhos de estudo mais frequentes foram ensaios clínicos randomizados (n=11) e estudos laboratoriais (n=11). As principais temáticas dos estudos analisados foram avaliar eficácia (n=7) e capacidade antimicrobiana do FNP (n=7). Considerações finais: A evidência sobre o uso do FNP se concentra nas suas características cariostáticas e antibacterianas, principalmente contra Streptococcus mutans. Sugere-se a condução de estudos clínicos bem delineados investigando o tópico da pigmentação dentária após seu uso do FNP.
