The importance of the role of nursing in the assistance process in patients with burns

Abstract
Objective: To describe nursing care to the burned patient, as well as the effects of the care process on the patient's physical, psychological and mental well-being. Methods: The deductive method was used, through the bibliographic review, which aims at revisions and analyzes of works already published in a database such as, SCIELO, UFMG, Brazilian Journal of Nursing, Brazilian Journal of Burns, etc. Results: Nursing care for the burned patient in the hospital environment is aimed at identifying risk factors that may compromise the patient's tissue integrity as well as the extrinsic effects of the treatment in relation to the pathological process. Conclusion: The nursing team is the fundamental basis for the management and care process of the burned patient, because through it, palliative care and general care softens the underlying effects of the burn process, attributing them greater resolution.
