Fatores associados ao letramento em saúde bucal de gestantes atendidas na rede pública de saúde

Resumo
Objetivo: Analisar a associação dos fatores sociodemográficos e do padrão de acesso odontológico com o letramento em saúde bucal (LSB) de gestantes atendidas na Atenção Primária em Saúde (APS). Métodos: Estudo transversal, envolvendo gestantes atendidas na APS de um munícipio de região metropolitana do Sul do Brasil. As condições sociodemográficas e econômicas, situação de acesso odontológico e letramento em saúde bucal (LSB), foram levantados a partir de questionários autoaplicáveis. Foram realizadas análises regressões univariadas e múltiplas de Poisson com variação robusta (α =0,05). Resultados: A ausência de equipes de saúde bucal (eSB) nas Unidades Básicas de Saúde (UBS) apresentou-se estatisticamente associado ao baixo LSB, independentemente de outros fatores (RP = 1,306; IC95%: 1,032–1,653), gestantes com mais de 01 ano da última consulta odontológica (RP = 1,297; IC95%: 1,026–1,940) e solteiras/viúvas ou separadas (RP = 1,338; IC95%: 1,054–1,697), também apresentaram associação significativa com o LSB. Já a maior escolaridade mostrou-se um fator de proteção ao baixo LSB (RP=0,310; IC95%0,183 – 0,525) quando comparado aquelas que apresentavam a menor escolaridade. Conclusão: O LSB em gestantes esteve associado com escolaridade, estado civil e destacando-se a presença de eSB na UBS, evidenciando a necessidade políticas públicas que visem a ampliação da cobertura da saúde bucal na APS.
