Conhecimento sobre traumatismos dentários de professores e equipe escolar da educação infantil após duas intervenções educativas

Resumo

Objetivo: Avaliar o efeito de duas abordagens, possíveis de serem divulgadas de forma virtual, no conhecimento de professores e equipe escolar da educação infantil sobre o manejo de urgência em casos de lesões dentárias traumáticas (LDTs). Métodos: Trata-se de um estudo longitudinal de intervenção. A amostra foi composta por 31 professores e equipe escolar da educação infantil de escolas públicas e privadas de Juiz de Fora – MG, que responderam a um questionário estruturado de forma on-line, por meio da plataforma Google Formulários, antes (T0) e após (uma semana: T1 e três meses: T2) a realização das intervenções educativas (panfletos e vídeos) sobre LDTs. Foram utilizados os testes Q de Cochram e ANOVA de Friedman para comparação de cada intervenção educativa nos três momentos avaliados. Resultados: Após a utilização de intervenções educativas (panfletos e vídeos) para a transmissão de informação, houve uma melhora geral nas percepções, atitudes e no conhecimento sobre LDTs. Ao comparar as duas intervenções, o vídeo destacou-se na melhora do conhecimento geral dos professores em curto prazo (p<0,001). Conclusão: Apesar de ambos os grupos demonstrarem nítida melhora nos conhecimentos e atitudes frente a uma LDT, o vídeo mostrou-se mais eficaz.
